What a great city we live in!
Denver is consistently rated as one of the fittest cities in the country. I always ask myself why? Lots of sunshine, plenty of trails, mountains to climb??
People here are very health conscious when compared to other states. In fact, many western states consistently rank in the top 5 for the fittest states.
But why?
I really can't seem to figure it out. Many western residents are transplants from other places, midwest, southeast, etc. Does moving away from your childhood home make you more active?? Pretty sure that's not it.
300 days of sunshine, maybe that's it. But, it's just as easy to go to the gym here as it is anywhere else, that's not it.
This is a tough one, anyone have a thought or suggestion as to why?
